Shah Rukh Khan, the popular Bollywood actor, will now receive Y+ security cover from the Mumbai Police due to recent death threats he has been receiving. This decision comes after the success of his films ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. The Y+ security cover entails him being accompanied by six armed security personnel at all times, as opposed to the previous two.
It has been reported that Mr. Khan wrote a letter to the Maharashtra government, expressing his concerns about the death threats he had been receiving. In response, the government decided to increase his security measures. Last year, actor Salman Khan was also provided with Y+ security cover after facing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.
Shah Rukh Khan has had encounters with the Mumbai underworld in the past and has been known for his resilience in the face of such threats. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta recently praised him on social media for his determination and ability to overcome challenges, including these threats from gangsters.
According to the Maharashtra government’s policy, security cover is given to individuals who face a threat to their life. In these cases, the citizens are required to pay a fee or deposit a security amount for their protection.
