Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed his deep sadness over the terrorist attacks in Israel and the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas. Google has two offices in Israel, one in Haifa and the other in Tel Aviv, with over 2000 employees.
Pichai stated that employee safety has been the company’s immediate focus and all local staff have been contacted and will be supported. Google is also working on providing reliable information through its products and sharing the cyber activity observed by its experts. The company will support humanitarian and relief organizations on the ground.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also offered condolences to those affected by the conflict, as the company has nearly 3,000 employees in Israel. The combined casualties from both sides have exceeded 3,000.
