A shocking video has emerged showing the fatal stabbing of US activist Ryan Carson in Brooklyn in front of his girlfriend. The incident took place in the Crown Heights neighborhood at around 4 a.m. According to CCTV footage, Carson and his girlfriend were sitting on a bus stop bench after attending a wedding. They started walking down the block when a man kicked scooters parked nearby without any apparent reason. The man then turned towards Carson and his girlfriend, asked them what they were looking at, and proceeded to stab Carson multiple times in the chest. As Carson lay on the ground injured, the assailant returned and approached his terrified girlfriend, who raised her hand to stop him. He spit at her and then left. Carson was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The police have not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing. Ryan Carson was a renowned activist and campaign organizer for the New York Public Research Group, focusing on improving recycling and solid waste management. His work centered on sustainability and environmental policies. Tributes have poured in on social media for Carson, with many expressing shock over his “senseless killing.” Mayor Eric Adams and others praised him for his dedication and passion.
