Live Updates from Asian Games 2023: India Aims for 100-Medal Mark

The Indian contingent at the Asian Games 2023 is on track to achieve a remarkable feat by reaching the 100-medal mark. On Day 12 of the games, Indian athletes will be competing in various events including the Men’s Marathon, wrestling, archery, and squash.

In the Men’s Marathon, A Belliappa and Man Singh will be representing India. While they may not have secured medals in the event, their participation marks the end of a successful campaign for Indian athletes in athletics at the Asian Games 2023.

The wrestling campaign continues with multiple Indian wrestlers vying for medals. Meanwhile, in archery, two Indian teams are looking to qualify for the medal rounds. Veteran squash player Saurav Ghosal will also be featuring in the singles final.

Thailand emerged victorious in the Sepaktakraw match against India, winning both sets with scores of 21-12 and 21-10. In Roller Skating, Indian athletes are striving to improve their performance in the Women’s Inline Freestyle Skating Speed Slalom event.

The Indian women’s compound archery team secured a spot in the semi-final by defeating Hong Kong with a score of 231-220 in the quarter-final. However, they will need to further improve their performance in the semi-final.

As the day unfolds, India will also be participating in various other events including Sepaktakraw, Bridge, Ju Jitsu, and Men’s/Women’s Boulder and Lead Qualification in Roller Skating.
