Nanded: Pigs roam in Nanded hospital, hygiene issues raised after 31 deaths
Pigs can be seen roaming freely in the Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College and Hospital in central Maharashtra, where 31 patients died within a span of 48 hours. The hospital’s cleanliness and hygiene practices have come under scrutiny after plastic bottles and wrappers were found clogging the drains, and pigs were seen in the open drainage. Relatives of patients voiced their concerns, highlighting the lack of basic facilities and the need to seek medical supplies from outside the hospital. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has responded to the deaths, assuring that the government is taking the situation seriously and denying any shortage of medicine.
