In a meme battle over aid and a failed SpaceX launch, Ukraine’s parliament and speaker have engaged with billionaire Elon Musk. Musk, who owns SpaceX, has occasionally angered Kyiv due to his statements since Russia’s invasion last year. Musk posted a meme on his platform X, mocking President Volodymyr Zelensky’s pleas for aid, captioned: “When it’s been 5 minutes and you haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid.” Responding to Musk’s jibe, Ukraine’s parliament accused him of spreading Russian propaganda. Ukrainian officials have previously criticized Musk for suggesting giving up land for peace.
