Israeli actor Lior Raz, known for the TV series ‘Fauda’ that drew on his experiences in the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), joined a group of volunteers called ‘Brothers in Arms’ on the frontlines of Israel’s war against Hamas. Raz, accompanied by Yohanan Plesner and Avi Yissascharov, shared a video on social media showing their visit to the bombarded town of Sderot to help extract two families. The video also captured a rocket attack by Hamas on Israel. Israel has retaliated against Hamas with its largest mobilization since the 1973 Yom Kippur War, calling up 300,000 troops. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to finish the war that Hamas started, while Hamas threatened to execute civilian hostages if Israel targets people in Gaza.
