India’s star cricketer, Rohit Sharma, has revealed the toughest bowler he has faced in his career, and it’s not from traditional powerhouses like Pakistan or Australia. Surprisingly, it is former South African pacer Dale Steyn who has challenged Rohit the most.

During an interaction with Vimal Kumar on his YouTube channel, Rohit spoke highly of Steyn’s skills. “If I have to name a bowler who has challenged me the most and whom I enjoyed playing against, it has to be Dale Steyn. He is a class player with all the skills. He can consistently swing the ball at over 140+ km/h, and there are very few players who can do that,” Rohit said.

Rohit’s praise for Steyn comes as a surprise to many, considering the reputation of bowlers from powerhouses like Pakistan and Australia. However, it speaks volumes about the quality and talent of the former South African pacer.

Recently, Rohit showcased his batting prowess in India’s third ODI against Australia in Rajkot. He scored a blazing 81 runs off just 57 balls, smashing five fours and six sixes. His return to the team after being rested for the first two matches was greeted with a stunning performance.

In other news, India announced Ravichandran Ashwin as the replacement for the injured player Axar Patel on September 28. The Indian cricket team is set to play two warm-up matches against England and Netherlands on September 30 and October 3, respectively, before kicking off their World Cup campaign with a match against Australia on October 8.

It is evident that Rohit Sharma’s exceptional batting skills have earned him recognition as one of the finest batters in the cricket world. However, the fact that he considers Dale Steyn as his toughest opponent speaks volumes about Steyn’s abilities and delivers a testament to his skill as a bowler.
