In a big blow to Telangana’s ruling BRS party, two senior leaders have resigned ahead of the state polls. Ajmeera Rekha, the legislator from Khanapur, announced her resignation in a press conference as she was denied a ticket for the upcoming assembly polls. Meanwhile, MLC Kasireddy Narayana Reddy joined the Congress party in the national capital, citing the “six guarantees” proposed by the Congress as beneficial to the people. Along with Reddy, several leaders from Nagarkurnool district have also joined the Congress party. Despite having four years left of his tenure as MLC, Reddy decided to make the switch. If given a chance, he expressed his willingness to contest in the upcoming polls.
