Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s ratings hit a record low after he accused India of being involved in the death of a Khalistani terrorist, according to an exclusive survey conducted by NDTV. The survey, carried out in partnership with Claster Consulting, polled 800 Canadian citizens over the age of 18, covering a diverse range of demographics. The poll, conducted from October 1 to October 5, revealed that 54% of respondents disapprove of Trudeau’s performance as Prime Minister, with 38% stating a strong disapproval. The survey also indicated that 65% of respondents feel that the relationship between Canada and India has worsened since Trudeau’s allegations. Additionally, 37% of those who were aware of the allegations stated that it made them view Trudeau less favorably. 41% of Canadians believed that Trudeau mishandled the situation and put Canada’s relationship with India in jeopardy by making these allegations. The survey also revealed that 39% of Canadians think Trudeau raised this issue to divert attention from his own failures. It is noteworthy to mention that the allegations made by Trudeau against India have been rejected by the Indian government as baseless.
