India’s star athlete, Neeraj Chopra, is currently participating in the javelin throw final event at the Asian Games 2023. In his second attempt, Chopra took the lead with a throw of 84.49m. However, he had to redo his first attempt due to a technical malfunction. His initial throw measured 82.38m, which was still impressive. Kishore Jena, another Indian participant, is also among the 14 competitors in the final. So far, only Chopra and Jena have surpassed the 80-meter mark, with Japan’s Kenji Ogura coming in third with a distance of 73.30m. Chopra is the defending champion and is expected to secure another gold medal. The event is currently underway, and we will provide live updates as it progresses.
