In a display of confidence in his work, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that he will not put up any posters or banners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He also stated that he will not offer any bribes or inducements to voters. Speaking at the inauguration of a road in Washim, Maharashtra, Mr. Gadkari emphasized that he will not engage in corruption and will not allow others to do so. He declared that he will not distribute money, liquor, or any other material incentives to voters.
Mr. Gadkari, who serves as the minister for Road Transport and Highways, represents the Nagpur constituency in the Lok Sabha. Recently, he mentioned that the government is implementing a policy to eliminate potholes on national highways by the end of the year. He also highlighted the preference for the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model in road construction, as it leads to better maintenance.
By making these statements, Mr. Gadkari aims to convey his commitment to integrity in politics and his faith in the development work he has accomplished. He urges voters to support him based on his track record, rather than through any unethical means.
