Oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal has joined the panel of Shark Tank India Season 3, becoming the youngest shark on the show. Agarwal shared the news on Twitter and it was confirmed by Shark Tank India’s official Instagram page.

Agarwal spoke about his own entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the challenges he faced due to limited resources. However, he expressed gratitude for the support he received from mentors, venture capitalists, and fellow founders in the ecosystem, which made his journey easier and more fulfilling.

He emphasized his goal of replicating this support for other entrepreneurs and mentioned his involvement in various initiatives to mentor and back startups at different stages of their journeys. Agarwal has also provided guidance to entrepreneurs in the Naropa Fellowship cohort, assisted small businesses across India, and actively contributed to the community that supported him during his early years.

Agarwal expressed his excitement about being part of Shark Tank India Season 3, which has brought entrepreneurship into mainstream conversations. He hopes to support and empower more entrepreneurs emerging from all corners of India.

The post also mentioned that Agarwal is now the youngest shark on the panel, joining Aman Gupta, Amit Jain, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, and Peyush Bansal. The shooting for Season 3 has already begun, and it will be streamed on the OTT platform Sony Liv. However, the official streaming date is yet to be announced.

Shark Tank India Season 2 had a significant impact on entrepreneurial growth, with investments of 80 crores across 103 businesses. The show featured remarkable pitches ranging from technological solutions to healthcare innovations, fueling the spirit of entrepreneurship and propelling startups to new heights. The show is based on the popular concept of the American show Shark Tank.
