The incident occurred on a private news channel and involved lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat, who supports Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Afnanullah Khan. The two individuals engaged in physical altercations after their disagreements escalated during the program. In a video of the incident, Marwat can be seen slapping Khan, who retaliated by pushing him. The anchor and crew members attempted to separate them as they ended up on the floor behind the news desk. The incident was shared on social media, accompanied by various reactions and comments. The video also revealed that both participants used expletives against each other. Senator Afnanullah Khan later posted on social media, expressing his belief in non-violence but stating that he was a loyal follower of Nawaz Sharif.
