A Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Howrah railway station in West Bengal saved a passenger’s life on October 10. The incident occurred when the Howrah – Puri Vande Bharat Express was departing from Platform No. 21. A man tried to enter the train through the guard’s cabin while it was moving and fell into the gap between the train and the platform. Thankfully, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shri Binod Kumar Choudhary of the RPF quickly came to his aid and pulled him to safety. The passenger expressed his gratitude to the officer and praised the RPF for their helpfulness. This is not the first time an RPF personnel has saved a passenger’s life. In March, a passenger in Mumbai also slipped while trying to board a moving train, but an RPF constable immediately came to his rescue. The Ministry Of Railways has repeatedly advised passengers against attempting to board or exit moving trains due to the inherent danger.
