New Delhi:
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, in a message to his Aam Aadmi Party colleagues before his arrest, urged them to continue the fight against the “corrupt” BJP government. He declared, “Marna manzoor hai, darna nahin (We are ready to die, but not to be scared).” In a video message recorded prior to his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi liquor policy case, Singh expressed his relentless determination to expose the corruption of the Narendra Modi government.
Singh accused the ED of conducting prolonged searches at his house but finding nothing, yet still proceeding with his arrest. He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party will ensure Prime Minister Modi loses the next elections. Singh criticized Modi’s tactics, describing them as signs of frustration and defeat, and accused him of inflicting cruelty and imprisoning individuals to secure victories. He vowed to fearlessly speak out against the corruption of the Modi government despite any suffering inflicted upon him.
Additionally, Singh alleged that fake news and misinformation will be disseminated after his arrest. The Enforcement Directorate raided Sanjay Singh’s residence on Wednesday morning and subsequently arrested him in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor policy investigation.
The BJP defended Singh’s arrest and hinted at possible actions against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, the AAP maintained that the 15-month-long investigation yielded no substantial evidence. Former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was also arrested in February as part of the same case.
