Comedian Trevor Noah concluded his India tour today and expressed his gratitude towards his fans for their hospitality and lively discussions. Despite having to cancel his shows in Bengaluru due to technical difficulties at the venue, the Emmy award winner assured that he will return to the city in the future.
Noah shared pictures of his India trip accompanied by a note saying, “Bangalore, our story isn’t done, I’ll be back and next time we’ll make sure it’s the best show ever.”
During his visit, Noah experienced the diverse culture and cuisine of India. He also engaged in thought-provoking conversations with the locals. Noah took to Twitter to express his appreciation, writing, “India 🇮🇳 What an experience it was coming and performing in your country for the first time. Thank you for sharing your rich history, your delicious cuisine, and your fantastic arguments with me.”
The comedian was scheduled to perform at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru last week as part of his ‘Off the Record’ tour. However, due to persistent audio issues at the venue, both shows were canceled. Despite the disappointment, Noah apologized to his fans who had eagerly anticipated the event.
Explaining the reason behind the cancellation, Noah stated, “We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage, there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund, and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment. This has never happened to us before.”
Noah successfully performed at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Delhi-NCR from September 22 to 24, and in Mumbai on September 30.
