Against controversial comments by Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatana Dharma, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Gorakhpur, has stated that Sanatana Dharma is the sole religion, while all others are mere sects and methods of worship. Adityanath made these remarks during the ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya’ event, emphasizing that if Sanatan is attacked, it will create a global crisis for humanity.
The event, held in Gorakhnath Temple, marked the conclusion of the seven-day ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya’ and commemorated the death anniversaries of Mahant Digvijay Nath and Mahant Avaidyanath. Adityanath stressed the need for an open mindset to comprehend the vastness of Shrimad Bhagwat’s teachings and urged devotees to absorb its essence into their lives continuously.
Adityanath also mentioned Mahant Digvijaynath’s contributions to society, including his emphasis on education through the establishment of Maharana Pratap Education Council. This council, along with several educational training institutes, works towards preparing the younger generation to tackle challenges related to the nation and society. Additionally, Digvijaynath’s involvement in various religious and political rituals demonstrated his dedication to the motherland and the country’s self-respect.
