Yuvraj Singh’s wife, Hazel Keech, recently shared her postpartum struggles and opened up about donating her hair to cancer-survivor kids. The couple got married in 2016 and welcomed their first child in 2022. In August of this year, they welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Aura. Ms Keech took to Instagram to talk about her experience with postpartum hair loss and the reason behind new moms cutting their hair short.
She explained that she never understood why new moms would cut their hair until she experienced excessive hair loss herself. Ms Keech humorously described the challenges faced by new mothers, who are constantly dealing with crying and pooping babies. In her Instagram post, she shared her hair loss journey and highlighted the phenomenon of postpartum hair fall.
Along with her personal experience, Ms Keech also expressed her desire to contribute to the creation of wigs for cancer patients. This decision was inspired by her husband, Yuvraj Singh, who had gone through cancer treatment and understood the emotional impact of losing hair during chemotherapy. She mentioned that Yuvraj shared his own experience of losing hair, lashes, and eyebrows, and how it affected his self-esteem.
To fulfill her wish, Ms Keech donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a trust based in the United Kingdom that makes wigs for cancer patients. She wanted to raise awareness about this charity and its work in helping people going through cancer treatments. She also mentioned that she was not aware of such initiatives when she first cut her hair short, and she wanted to inspire others to consider donating their hair to make a difference in someone’s life.
Yuvraj Singh announced the birth of their daughter Aura on August 25 through an Instagram post, where he shared a picture of the family. Hazel Keech’s openness about her postpartum struggles and her decision to donate her hair has garnered appreciation from many.
