Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, supported by Iran, has expressed its readiness to join forces with Hamas in a future conflict against Israel. Naim Qassem, the deputy chief of Hezbollah, made these comments during a pro-Palestinian rally in Beirut. His remarks come as Hamas and Israel continue to exchange heavy fire, resulting in numerous casualties on both sides. Qassem stated that Hezbollah is fully prepared and committed to contributing to the confrontation and taking action when the time is right. He dismissed calls for Hezbollah to refrain from getting involved in the conflict, claiming that their responsibilities are clear. Despite efforts by major countries, Arab nations, and UN envoys to mediate, Hezbollah remains determined to support its Palestinian ally. The recent cross-border shelling also resulted in the death of a journalist and several injuries to media personnel. In response to an Israeli drone incursion, the Israeli Air Force declared that it had targeted a Hezbollah base in southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, in Beirut, over 1,000 Hezbollah supporters gathered to show solidarity with Gaza, calling for their leader, Hassan Nasrallah, to take action against Tel Aviv. The situation remains tense, with ongoing clashes between Hezbollah, Hamas, and Israel, as the region grapples with the repercussions of this escalating conflict.
