A video of Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali slapping his security personnel for not bringing him a flower bouquet on time has gone viral. In the video, Mr Ali can be seen hugging his cabinet colleague T Srinivas Yadav at an official event before turning to the security personnel and slapping him. The incident occurred because Mr Ali was upset that the security officer did not hand him the bouquet on time, even though it was meant for Srinivas Yadav. The BJP has condemned the Minister’s behavior, calling it unacceptable and setting a poor example. Attempts to reach Mahmood Ali for comment have been unsuccessful.
