Apple’s CEO Tim Cook paid tribute to the company’s founder Steve Jobs on his death anniversary through a post on social media platform X. He described Jobs as a “visionary” who had “changed the world.” Cook’s post read, “Thinking back on a pioneer who challenged conventions, a visionary who changed the world, a mentor, and a friend. We miss you, Steve.” Jobs passed away in 2011 at the age of 56 due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

Apple has a dedicated section on its website called “Remembering Steve,” where more than a million people from all over the world share their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Jobs. Apple acknowledges how his passion and creativity have touched people, including personal friends, colleagues, and Apple product owners.

Despite his long battle with cancer, Jobs continued to serve as the face of the company, unveiling new products while wearing his signature blue jeans. According to the New York Times, he underwent surgery in 2004, received a liver transplant in 2009, and took three medical leaves of absence during his tenure as Apple’s CEO. In August 2011, Jobs stepped down from his role and handed over the reins to Tim Cook, who was then the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

In his resignation letter, Jobs stated, “I have always said that if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”

Meanwhile, Apple recently launched its iPhone 15 series, including four models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available in different storage capacities and colors. The starting price of the iPhone 15 with 128GB storage is Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 15 Plus starts at Rs 89,900. The iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB storage starts at Rs 134,900, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256GB storage starts at Rs 159,900.
