Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan used social media to mock the Pakistan cricket team’s fielding during their warm-up match against Australia in the Cricket World Cup 2023. Dhawan shared a video showing two fielders going for the same ball but hesitating to collect it, resulting in a misfield. Along with the video, Dhawan tweeted, “Pakistan & fielding never ending love story #PakistanFielding #PakCricket.”
Earlier, Pakistan’s spin bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan expressed confidence in the team’s bowling unit, stating that the side with the strongest bowling attack will have an advantage on India’s batting-friendly pitches. Pakistan’s spin attack has faced criticism for its inability to take wickets in the middle overs. Despite Shadab’s own underwhelming performance in the Asia Cup, he believes the team’s bowling can make a comeback in the World Cup.
Pakistan suffered a five-wicket loss to New Zealand in their first warm-up match of the tournament. The World Cup is set to begin on Thursday.
