Pranjali Awasthi, a 16-year-old Indian prodigy, created Delv.AI, a startup focused on improving the data extraction process for research. Launched in January 2022, the company has already secured $450,000 (Rs 3.7 crore) in funding. With a team of 10 employees, Awasthi’s foray into technology was heavily influenced by her engineer father, who sparked her interest in coding at a young age. Moving to Florida at 11, she delved into computer science and competitive math, interning at university research labs at just 13. It was during these internships that she realized AI could address certain challenges, leading to the inception of Delv.AI.

In 2021, Awasthi was accepted into an AI startup accelerator in Miami, where she received support from tech enthusiasts Lucy Guo and Dave Fontenot, as well as investment from reputable names such as On Deck and Village Global. Delv.AI aims to assist researchers in accessing specific information from online content. With $450,000 in funding, the company is currently valued at approximately $12 million (Rs 100 crore).
